Stacey Gurian-Sherman, J.D.

Ms. Gurian-Sherman has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and government sectors. Her expertise includes writing successful grants, managing multi-million dollar projects, and creating positive youth development programming. She is a skilled professional writer, having created policies, protocols, and curriculums. She has authored articles and presented in a wide array of media, legislative and professional forums.


Ms. Gurian-Sherman has founded and directed two successful nonprofit programs focusing on advocacy, and skills building for youth, including conflict resolution, jobs skills, and mentoring. She has served on the Secretary's Executive Staff of a statewide juvenile services agency where she introduced, funded, and managed programming in community and facility settings, including positive youth development programming, and pre-apprenticeships in the construction trades. Ms. Gurian-Sherman has provided professional services to a wide array of organizations, including Advocates for Children and Youth, Annie E. Casey Foundation, American Bar Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice, Ella Baker Center, Justice For Families, National Legal Aid and Defender Association, NeighborWorks America, and OJJDP National Training & Technical Assistance Center.
